Dear Partners,

As you know the Governor of California, Gavin Newsom, issued a statewide order to stay at home for the State of California effective 03/20/2020.

Advanced Environmental Landscape understands and supports the aggressive preventative measures being taken across the globe as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

In an effort to protect our employees we temporarily closed our operations on Friday, 03/20/20 (today) and we will return to business tomorrow, Saturday 03/21/2020, we ask that you return to business tomorrow also, please let us know if you will be choosing otherwise.

After careful review of the SAFER AT HOME ORDER FOR CONTROL COVID-19 issued by COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH ORDER OF THE HEALTH OFFICER

Our services are considered an essential business, see excerpt below:

13. For purposes of this Order, Essential Businesses are defined as the following:

h) Plumbers, electricians, exterminators, custodial/janitorial workers, handyman services, funeral home workers and morticians, moving services, HVAC installers, carpenters, vegetation services, tree maintenance, landscapers, gardeners, property managers, private security personnel and other service providers who provide service to maintain the safety, sanitation, and essential operation to properties and other Essential Business;

We feel confident that if we follow the rules and our protocol that we will all remain safe and be able to continue our services so that we can all continue to support our families.

Below is a list of things we have sent to our employees, we recommend that you read them and implement this with your team as well to protect yourself, your employees and business:

GENERAL NOTES:

  • We are asking that you not come into the office to protect the office staff.

  • If you have any questions, regarding anything to do with Human Resources or anything else (e.g. Requesting time off, benefit questions, paycheck questions) please contact us via phone or email. 

  • We have been hearing that you have had issues with using the restroom while you are out in the field, we apologize for this inconvenience. Please try and schedule your restroom stops as much as possible and if you are close by, please come use the restroom located in the employee parking lot the blue portable toilet.

  • Please do not come to work if you are showing symptoms of COVID-19 or if you have been in close proximity with someone who has COVID-19 or is under investigation of having COVID-19. You are required to inform us if you have been exposed or diagnosed with COVID-19. If you have, there are resources available to help you, you can contact us for more information on this.

  • We recommend that you stay home and do not leave the house for any non-essential traveling, we care about you and your family and our staff. Take this time to be with your family.

  • The following additional protocols have been emailed to our customers and we ask that you follow this protocol when visiting job sites:

    • We will be temporarily foregoing our protocol of checking in to offices when we arrive at properties. We will do our best to communicate and keep you updated via email or telephone.

    • If our staff is on your job site, we would prefer that you contact our office rather than speak to them in person. If required, please use social distancing and remain at least 6’ from each other.

  • If you guys are in a truck with multiple people, we recommend that you wear face masks while driving all together in the truck to protect you.

  • Please try not to share equipment, if it is necessary, please wipe down handles with disinfectant which has been provided to you on your truck.

 

What else have we done?

 

  • We have posted notices at our front office entrance and at all employee posting areas.

  • We have elevated personal hygiene awareness, stressing proper handwashing techniques and proper etiquette for coughing and sneezing.

  • We are cleaning and sanitizing all areas of our office, from door and faucet handles to keyboards.

  • If an employee is experiencing flu-like symptoms, we are advising them to stay home from work. If a member of their immediate family (spouse, child, significant other) is experiencing flu-like symptoms, we are advising them to stay home. 

  • If an employee, or a member of their immediate family, has traveled to a confirmed area with a known case of Coronavirus, they are instructed to notify Human Resources immediately so appropriate steps can be taken.

  • Maintaining clean tools – cleaning and sanitizing as they perform their tasks.
